Does anyone know anything about white blindness in DAF's?

This is caused by several things.

1. A wound caused perhaps by not having a soft enough substrate as the DAF dives into it.
2. A bad diet. Lipid build-up on the corneas. Caused by an excess of fatty food items. What have you been feeding it?

this page needs a great big tidy up - including the new references link. --Cat 11:22, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Its one of our most popular pages, so lets do it! --Brian 11:54, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Why all the redirects to the one species name?

This aquarium animal is a hybrid of two species, Hymenochirus boettgeri and Hymenochirus curtipes. So why label it under the one?

I left it under 'Dwarf African Frog' for a reason. :-) Though maybe it should be Hymenochirus sp.

I dunno :) I just picked one. --Brian 17:59, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Discrepancy

On one hand, it says that a DAF can be fed tuna steak, but on the other hand it says not to feed a DAF flesh with thiaminase. Perhaps it should include the full note on the tuna steak page.

Dead link

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

Albino Version

After quick search for "albino african dwarf frog" it appears they don't exist ( I didn't really look that hard). --Brian 06:46, 20 May 2011 (CDT)

I agree that I have never seen an albino true ADF, all the albinos I've seen have been the Clawed Frogs. --Cat 07:07, 20 May 2011 (CDT)
