Origin[edit]

This fish is endemic to Africa. Found in the shore weeds and shallow parks in lake Orsedi and the Suksuk river drainage near lake Zwai, in southern Ethiopia, Lake Naivasha and inflowing streams near Nairobi, southern Kenya.
